Inspiring video revealed for Ledisi's heartfelt 'Higher Than This'

Four-time GRAMMY nominated soul singer Ledisi, releases a joyous new music video for "Higher Than This" this week. The video, shot in Harlem NYC by director Malcom Beckford (Kenny Lattimore, Leela James), shows a young Ledisi dreaming about becoming a singer and thanking God for her gift and his love.

Watch the video here.

Ledisi explains the modern and soulful gospel tune from her latest album 'Turn Me Loose' (Verve Forecast) wasn't easy to write. "Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (song producers) really pushed me on 'Higher Than This'. They made me stretch as a songwriter and become a stronger woman. This song is classic Jam and Lewis."

'Turn Me Loose' debuted at # 1 on Billboard's R&B Album chart and 'Higher Than This', the second single from that album, is already making waves with plays on Steve Harvey and Tom Joyner syndicated radio programs and charting in the top 25 at UAC radio.

NO INJUNCTION AGAINST ISAIAH D. THOMAS AND GLOBAL GOSPEL MUSIC GROUP

Global Gospel Music Group is proud to announce the signing of Multi-Stellar Award Winner, BMI Award Winner, and Dove Award Nominee Isaiah D. Thomas along with the release of his new single entitled "I Dare You" which has charted No. 3 as most added single this week on Radio and Records Gospel panel.

Contrary to assertions which have been circulated in the media by Mr. Thomas' prior record label Habakkuk Music, our artist was contractually free and clear of all past obligations to Habakkuk Music at the time of his signing to Global Gospel Music Group. Mr. Thomas, through his counsel Chris Brown, properly terminated all agreements with Habakkuk Music due to breaches of his contract. The intentions and stated desires of Habakkuk Music to continue its relationship with Mr. Thomas cannot and does not supersede legal and contractual processes.

The matter is presently not subject to any court or legal proceedings nor are there any court orders, injunctions and/or restraining orders.

Global Gospel Music stands behind the validity of its agreement with Isaiah D. Thomas, and will continue to market, promote and support his recordings and career. We wish the principals of his prior label, Habakkuk Music, all the best.

Adds Thomas, ""I am grateful for a brand new opportunity to minister Gods' Word thru Song.

God made away to produce this second album even when companies walked away".
