KRISTIN CHENOWETH IS THE BEST DRESSED IN "OLD HOLLYWOOD"
AT THE OSCARS

Some things in trendsetting Hollywood never get old and "Old Hollywood" glamour is one of them. The color of glamour tonight is Black and White at the Oscars.  We found Glamazons who honored the fashion code of high fashion and flair from the golden days of Hollywood.

For her first time covering the red carpet, Kelly Roland is setting the right tone in a gorgeous strapless number  (white at the top, black at the bottom.)  We are looking for ladies with style that rules the red carpet. She and Kristin Chenoweth (pictured above) are definitely contenders for our best dressed title.
UPDATED: And the winner of our Best Dressed is Kristin Chenoweth.
Chenoweth was "gone with the wind fabulous."

Red carpet hosting buddies Kristin Chenoweth and Kelly Roland.

We think no other colors dazzle on the red carpet like black, white or the classic combination of the two, so we created the "OLD HOLLYWOOD" category in honor of red car pet arrivals who tipped their style  to  "Old Hollywood" glam!  But then, there were a few ladies that were stunning regardless of their dress color, so we couldn't ignore them.  All photos listed are honorable mentions in no particular order.

RED CARPET WATCH: Kristin Chenoweth is drenched in a galaxy of layered black and heavy sparkles.  She'll close the show tonight with host Seth McFarland.

THE SLICE'S TOP TEN BEST DRESSED
HONORABLE MENTIONS

Kelly Osbourne

Julianna Rancic

Kelly Osborne and Jennifer Hudson also opted for classic black and sparkles.
Of course for Kelly, her hair always makes a statement. This time it says, "I'm lavender and relaxed." She's wearing a side part with the hair slicked down to her head, being held together with a black hair pin.  She could have done a prettier hair pin.

We're seeing a balance of up dos and soft, flowy curls/waves when it comes to hair styles.

I was going to say it don't mean a thing it it ain't got the bling at the Oscars, but then I saw Zoe Saldanda!  Her corsetted dress designed by French designer Lexi Mavel (she's in Neil Lang jewelry), has as much drama at the top as at the bottom with alternating layers of black and cream fanning the bottom of her dress.  She said she stuffed herself on the night before the Oscars (no one could tell), but generally stays looking good by getting rest and hydration.

At 8:47 after a prolonged music opener Seth McFarlane asked us to be his guests. The tone captured the razzle dazzle of Hollywood glamour, with Sinatra styled singing and Fred Astaire and Ginger rogers styled dancing a la Cherize Theron and Channing Tatum. They were "Dancing with the Stars" good.

10:38 - Best Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence introduces "Adele," who sings "Skyfall" lie for the first time anywhere.  Earlier Seth McFarlane joked that she would "scream" at the audience, a jab at her singing style.  On the contrary, the British star kept it smooth and steady.  She did seem to have a hiccup in the song at one point.  Adele's effort was nowhere near on the level of the Dame who sang the original bond theme.  However, fashion wise Adele did redeem herself from the unflattering dress she wore at the Grammys.  She  whore a fitted black dress that was encrusted with sparkles.

10:43 - Nicole Kidman introduces the montage for the next several Best Picture nominees.

The awards for Best Production Design and Set Decorations went to "Lincoln". . .finally.

Seth MacFarlane said we don't understand a word Selma Hyek says but it does not matter because of her beauty.  She introduced  the Governor's Award and the Humanitarian Award.

What Seth MacFarlane said in his intro to the In Memoriam segment was sad, but true.  He said we could do a whole show on this segment.  Barbara Streisand did a fitting tribute to Marvin Hamlisch singing his composition that helped make her famous, "Memories, The Way We Were."

He volleyed back to the White House and First Lady Obama announced, "And the Oscar goes to Argo," she said.  the star and Director Ben Affleck acknowledged his "partner in crime" George Clooney and said he was lucky to have him.  He said he never thought he would be back here. He rambled, noticeably nervous.

But that's not all folks. . .As the credits rolled Kristin Chenoweth and Seth MacFarlane sang "Here's to the losers.  Bless them all" in a first time finale performance.

Seth MacFarlane was too edgey for the Oscars at times, but her was able to pull off Oscar charm with singing and dancing.  His jokes about Lincoln and Rihanna and Chris Brown and violence, the jab at Adele's weight were in poor taste.  His jokes were more hurtful than funny, all of which he told looking like a "gentleman."  He was best as "Ted," form his own movie which he joked was in the "Red Box" at grocery stores.
