Help Chef Roble' Choose His First Fragrance Recipe

buzzz worthy. . .

Ahhh, food and fragrance, the perfect pairing.  Celebrity Chef Roble Ali is following his nose to create a perfume for women to crave that was inspired by some of his original dishes.   The star of Bravo's Chef Roble and Co. teamed up with Brands with Purpose to create two fragrance recipes, but wants the public's help in deciding which one to  launch first next Spring.  Read the details to see how you can vote at a private event.

CLIQUE by Roblé Final Scent To Be Chosen By Fans At Exclusive New York Preview
New York, NY (NOVEMBER 13, 2013) – The unique women’s fragrance collaboration between television personality and celebrity chef Roblé Ali and top perfumer Frank Voelkl of Firmenich has resulted in two final “fragrance recipes” that will compete to be chosen by the consumer as the final CLIQUE by Roblé perfume, Ali’s first women’s fragrance that will hit beauty counters and department stores nationwide in the spring of 2014.

“For close to a year, Frank and I have been working on our Fragrance Recipe,” said Roblé.  “Finding the perfect balance to incorporate scents from some of my favorite culinary works required a lot of fine-tuning and multiple trials.  It started with the idea of developing an irresistible fragrance recipe that could maintain the freshness of a citrus cocktail on top with an alluring and sexy dessert base containing notes from one of my favorite dessert creations – “French Toast Crunch,” the star of Bravo’s Chef Roblé & Co. added.
All the hard work has resulted in two very distinguished finalists.  “With the similarities between the culinary arts and perfumery, this is actually the first ever ‘Fragrance Recipe,’ and we knew that selecting the winner deserved a different and unique approach,” Roblé stated.

Rather than the relying on traditional focus groups or “the experts” to pick the winning recipe, Chef Roblé will invite more than 100 female fans to have the final say at an exclusive preview in New York City on December 7th, 2013, where select consumers and invited media will get to sample both scents and vote to decide which one will go on as the chosen CLIQUE by Roblé fragrance.
During the private event, fragrance enthusiasts will join Chef Roblé to smell and test the competing fragrances, and signature Roblé & Co. food and cocktails will also be served. Guests will judge each fragrance upon immediate smell, and will then be asked to wear samples of each for up to an hour to compare how the scent smells when it is actually worn.

“Wearing and living with the fragrance recipe during an event is a real life test.  This is how to distinguish what’s better and what’s BEST!  I can’t think of a more appropriate way to pick the final scent from the two great fragrances we’ve been working on for so long,” Roblé continued.

The event will be held on Saturday, December 7th from Noon – 3 PM in Manhattan, NYC at an undisclosed location.

If interested, you can enter the contest and register at:

The winning fragrance recipe will be launched as CLIQUE by Roblé in the spring of 2014.

"Lucky's" unfortunate Kerry Washington cover photo

buzzz worthy. . .

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington has such a distinct pout you can recognize her anywhere, right?Wrong!  Those permanently puckered lips were not enough of a clue to identify Washington on the cover of the latest issue of Lucky magazine and her fans are peeved.  They are upset because they say she does not  look like herself, implying the pic was altered somehow.

I have to agree.

I saw the cover for the first time at the grocery store.  I picked it up to see who the unfamiliar face was, only to realize it was Washington. She is wearing her hair in a shoulder length razor cut. Her make-up is mono-toned and her eyes appear to be smaller. The photo is not bad. . .it just looks like some random model.

I once saw Washington in person at  the Directors Guild in L.A.  She was "stop-and-stare" gorgeous. She has unforgettable looks.  The "Lucky" (Dec. 2013/Jan. 2014) cover downplays or distorts  her appearance to the point that she is unrecognizable. The 36-year-old mommy-to-be has landed several covers this year and it is obvious who she is on all of them--except this one.

The un-"Lucky" cover is pictured below.  We've also listed a few of her best magazine covers from this past year where there's no doubt it's the fierce Oliva Pope --- I mean Kerry.

This photo faux pas is just a tiny sidebar.  As a  stunning actress, newlywed and expectant mother Washington continues to have cover worthy looks and life.

Does it look like Kerry Washington to you?

Miley Strikes Again at MTV EMA's

buzzz worthy. . .

Apparently, neither Miley Cyrus nor the MTV Network will stop funneling outrageous behavior to the viewing masses until fans get enough.  Had there been an award for most gawk-worthy behavior at the recent MTV Europe Music Awards, Cyrus would have definitely won it.

Sunday night at the EMA's (Europe Music Awards) in Amsterdam she delivered more provocative antics on stage.   During the show's opening she sang "We Can't Stop" and twerked with a small person.  They both tapped each other on the rear at some point in the routine and Miley grabbed a handful of the small dancer's breast .   Allegedly Cyrus smoked pot as she accepted her first-ever EMA in the best video category for “Wrecking Ball.”    She opened up her Chanel bag, pulled out what looked like a joint and lit up and took a puff right on stage.  (Various sources say marijuana use is legal in Amsterdam.)

Fans that are hanging on or her former supporters are likely wondering Miley, Miley, Miley, why oh why are you degrading yourself and refusing to tone down the crudeness, you have a fierce voice?

The seemingly lost soul is very consciously dancing to the the tune of  "cha-ching-cha-ching" as more appearances roll in and her record sales are steady.  It's matter of good old fashioned supply and demand and the idea that all press is good press.

Meanwhile, Eminem was feted with the Global Icon Award, McClemore & Ryan Lewis took the New Artist honor, Justin Timberlake super successful come back recording did not win an award in any of the five categories in which he was nominated and Beyonce won Best Live performance. But, despite the other world class talent at the show and buzzworthy EMA news,  just like after the US VMA's Miley is all everyone is talking about in the Cybersphere. Her PR mission has been accomplished once again.

buzzz worthy. . .

The new season Bravo is still young, so it's not too late to get caught up.  The press release gives a synopsis of each show (old and new) returning to the line-up.

Bravo Media is packed with passion, pride and big personalities this November with premieres of returning favorites “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Fashion Queens,” “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Vanderpump Rules,” and “Shahs of Sunset.” Bravo’s newest family members hail from Nashville and follow Ben and Jewel Tankard along with their blended and extended family as they live, love and laugh through the perils and pleasures of life, proving that blood is “Thicker Than Water.”

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season six kicks off the network’s November premieres on Sunday, November 3 at 8pm ET/PT as NeNe relishes being Gregg's new wife again and settles back into Atlanta after a year of living in Hollywood.  Recently engaged Kandi attempts to get closer to the altar with fiancé Todd, but faces unexpected roadblocks along the way.  She also adds to her growing entertainment empire by producing her first ever musical production, a project which brings all of the ladies together in very surprising ways.  Soon-to-be-divorced housewife, Porsha, faces major setbacks in her life, yet continues to fight valiantly to get back on top.  Meanwhile, Kenya battles her landlord over an impending eviction and delves into her family's history, hoping to unlock the secrets from her childhood.  Always on the go, Cynthia faces challenges of raising a teen daughter and is surprised by others that are not supportive of her choices. Phaedra resists slowing down with baby number two and studies nonstop to get her mortician’s license while supervising Apollo as he tackles remodeling their new home. The stress on their marriage shows when Apollo’s opinion isn't always aligned with his whirlwind wife’s ideas.  For a sneak peek at the new season, visit: http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-atlanta/season-6/videos/a-birth-an-eviction-and-not-knowing-who-nene-is

The fierce and fabulous “Fashion Queens” return for a second season on Sunday, November 3 at 11:30pm ET/PT.  Immediately following “Watch What Happens Live,” this weekly, fashion-based talk show features Atlanta-based celebrity hairstylists Derek J and Miss Lawrence, and New York’s fashion maven Bevy Smith.  The trendy, opinionated trio gives their take on the week’s fashion, from haute couture to celebrity style to unusual outfits from around the globe. The Queens tell it like it is in segments including, the “Gag Award” (the highest fashion recognition on the show), “Reading Room” (calling out celebrities’ fashion missteps) and “Giving Me Wife” (breaking down fabulous looks from Bravo housewives). The most famous ZIP code gets a jolt of drama in the epic two-hour, cross-over premiere of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season four and “Vanderpump Rules” season two on Monday, November 4 from 8-10pm ET/PT.  Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Foster, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump are joined by two new housewives – London-born Carlton Gebbia and former Miss Puerto Rico, Joyce Giraud de Ohoven.  To celebrate the centennial of Beverly Hills and meet other local business owners, Kyle throws a cocktail party at her home for the city’s Chamber of Commerce.  She hires Lisa’s posh restaurant, SUR, to cater the event but in typical fashion, one of her servers begins talking back and Lisa has to send her home before the guests begin to arrive.  At the party, Kyle tries to put aside her differences with Yolanda after last year’s explosive reunion, while Lisa struggles to keep tensions down between Brandi and Scheana.  After the party wraps up, SUR staffers Stassi, Jax, Katie, Tom and Scheana head out to meet up with Kristen when serious tensions flare up.  In an effort to mend her relationship with the group, Scheana invites everyone to her birthday party, but it doesn’t take long for catfights to erupt.  Check out the first look of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” here: http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills/season-4/videos/no-smoke-without-fire and “Vanderpump Rules” here: http://www.bravotv.com/vanderpump-rules/season-2/videos/the-secrets-come-out

All that glitters is gold on “Shahs of Sunset” Tuesday, November 5 at 10pm ET/PT.  During season three, Reza is faced with turning 40 and re-evaluating everything in his life from finally moving in with his boyfriend Adam to his rocky business partnership with Mike.  Reza’s most dramatic challenge yet is before him as he is confronted with some personal demons he thought were long buried. Newly single MJ is in a “rebuilding year," mending her relationships with former BFF, Reza and "Iron Mom" Vida.  Becoming aware of her ticking clock, she begins to take a new look at her career and works to build up her confidence, but an unexpected conflict with GG leaves everyone wondering if the two will ever be the same.  Faced with the choice between loyalties to his friends and doing what he thinks is right, Mike struggles with some serious life decisions in business and love.  GG is working to redeem herself with her friends, mending bonds with her alienated family and making a go of it with a new boyfriend, but her fiery temper proves harder to bury than she thought.  After a public battle with MJ, Lilly finds herself focusing on work as her friendships within the group are tested.  Will the Persian Barbie realize she doesn’t belong after all?  Our ever evolving Persian Pop Priestess, Asa, is in the process of reinventing herself…again and finds herself the unlikely water entrepreneur behind “Diamond Water.”  Coming to terms with what it means to be a refugee through her art, Asa and the whole gang take an emotional trip to Turkey to reunite with long-lost family that culminates in a daring trip to see their Iranian homeland that leaves them forever changed. Take a look at the new season here: http://www.bravotv.com/shahs-of-sunset/season-3/videos/the-shahs-go-international

Sunday, November 10 at 9pm ET/PT is the new series premiere of “Thicker Than Water” which follows Ben and Jewel Tankard, self-dubbed “The Black Brady Bunch.”  This southern family integrates their strong religious conviction with their penchant for the finer things in life.  Under the watchful eye of the patriarch and matriarch, the Tankard children, although young adults, still live at home and must abide by Ben and Jewel’s rules. With the belief that “God wants us all to be millionaires,” the Tankards aim to be the best and brightest in everything they do. Along with their drive comes a healthy dose of rivalry proving the adage, “You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family” especially true.
