Cee Lo drops bomb about 'Voice' departure on Ellen
buzzz worthy. . .
Cee Lo Green won't be turning around in his chair to choose challengers on "The Voice" when season 5 airs on Monday. Both he and fellow coach Christina Aguilera where scheduled to be off rotation while Usher and Shakira took their turn in the singing competition, but today on Ellen, Green made a bombshell announcement saying he is leaving the show for good. The massive publicity he gets from the show won't be put to good use unless he satisfy his music fans, so the "Forget You" singer is going back into the lab. He said he has not released an album in four years he's been a "Voice" coach and wants to put out new music. Cee Lo will be going on tour with Lionel Richie this Spring.
"I'm going to continue my relationship with NBC," he told DeGeneres. "I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But yeah, I'm going to miss The Voice too. So I’m not coming back guys."
