The eldest daughter of the Tankard clan, Brooklyn, finally comes into her own as an entrepreneur, channeling big ideas into money-making opportunities and taking the hair industry by storm. Healthier than ever, Britney embarks on a transformative fitness journey, and when the return of Marcus opens up old wounds, she stands ready to confront her traumatic past. Recently married Benji is motivated to follow in his father's financially successful footsteps while itching to start a family of his own. Determined to do good for the 'hood, Madea enlists Aunt Bam and Uncle Joe to try and save the Moms Mabley Youth Center from being shut down. NEW MUSIC: Introducing Klozapin

buzzz worthy. . .

Initially beginning as a bedroom project, New York's Klozapin was formed in January 2014 by Mitchell Todorov (Guitar/Vocals), Paul Simone (Bass/Vocals), Nick Connor (Drums) and Niden Kolev (Guitar), quickly gaining a firm following in the Otsego County area.

The band create vibrant soundscapes, with elements of pop, indie, psych, noise rock, shoegaze and trip-hop.  Lead vocalist Mitch says the biggest influence on the sound of this record was the idea of "making a record that sounds like swimming through a sea of bubblegum.  First you can kind of glide through the sweet water but eventually you just end up stuck in it."

Priding themselves on their inability to become easily categorised by genre, they feel the secret to their growing success is down to four good friends "making cool sounds and having fun doing it".

Klozapin release their debut, self-titled album this December on Australian label Conquest of Noise and are already writing for a follow up combining influences as diverse as indie, psych and hip-hop.

November 5, 2014 (Orlando, FL) -- Pastor, leader, and prolific worship artist, William McDowell, to host Red Carpet Christmas, a benefit concert featuring the country's top worship and gospel music artists.  This special evening of music and worship will aid Feeding Children Everywhere, a non-profit charity that assembles healthy meals for hungry children.

As an added bonus to the night, McDowell will record a new song, "Send the Rain," live at the Red Carpet Christmas event.

Born out of worship at his inaugural Habitation Conference, "Send the Rain" has immediately connected with audiences, as McDowell has added it to worship experiences as he ministers around the world.

William McDowell created the Red Carpet Christmas concert event, now in its 3rd year, with the hope of impacting the community. And McDowell has high expectations.  Last year's event drew over 2,000 people to a packed house.  McDowell will bring the benefit concert back to Church In The Son, located at 4484 N. John Young Parkway, Orlando FL on Friday, December 5, 2014.  The concert is free and open to the public.

As always, McDowell will bring together his friends and popular artists from around the country.  Past artists and ministers have included GRAMMY Award winners Israel Houghton and Aaron Lindsey.  This year's line-up will feature Tina Campbell (of the GRAMMY-winning duo Mary Mary), Tasha Cobbs, Kierra Sheard, David & Nicole Binion, Danny Gokey, Jonathan McReynolds, Jason Nelson and more.

"Feeding Children Everywhere allows us to partner both financially and through physical servicing to provide for the needs of those around this nation and the world. Our giving and serving may be the difference between life and death for some."

With an ultimate goal to raise enough money to donate 100,000 meals to Feeding Children Everywhere, McDowell says, "I believe those who have been given a platform have a responsibility to use it. This is an opportunity to partner with others to do something bigger than what we can do on our own."

Feeding Children Everywhere (www.feedingchildreneverywhere.com) is a social charity that empowers and mobilizes communities to provide healthy meals to children locally and abroad. Feeding Children Everywhere, is a Florida based organization that has sent 20 million meals around the world and shipped over ten million meals to hungry children in 25 different states across the country. Filmmaker Abdul Malik Abbott to Release Documentary
"D.U. Days: Adventures in Digital Underground
 the Apprenticeship of Tupac Shakur"

Next year, 2015, pop music's hippest heroes, Digital Underground (D.U.), will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut, earth shattering, multi-platinum album "Sex Packets" which featured the runaway hit single "The Humpty Dance." In preparation for the occasion, original founder and D.U. member Chopmaster J has joined forces with filmmaker and director Abdul Malik Abbott ("Streets is Watching," "State Property") to produce the documentary "D.U. Days: Adventures in Digital Underground the Apprenticeship of Tupac Shakur". The celebratory effort will be supported via a rewards-based Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that fans can get involved with and join by visiting http://igg.me/at/D-U-Days.
Along with a series of orchestrated music releases planned to commemorate as well as revive the group's positioning in hip hop, Chopmaster J will be releasing "Sex Packets II" featuring new versions of D.U. classics written and produced by S.O.T.U. (Sun Of The Underground) and featuring an all new D.U. lineup; and unveiling the "D.U. Days'" soundtrack which features, from Chopmaster J's archive collection, exclusive never before heard tracks of the late Tupac Shakur

Recognized as one of the first hip hop bands, Digital Underground included Chopmaster J, Shock G, Money B, DJ Fuze and the then 18-year-old Tupac Amaru Shakur.  The group's meteoric rise to fame in the early '90's was accentuated with chart topping hits like "Doowutchyalike," "Freaks of the Industry," "Same Song" and "Kiss You Back."  The band made waves with their colorful and costumed attire, animated stage antics and innovative dance styling and moves.

Digital Underground is best remembered for turning hip hop on its proverbial head and invading the realm of pop with their 1990 pivotal Grammy nominated release "The Humpty Dance." "The Humpty Dance" climbed all the way to #11 on the pop charts, #7 on the R&B charts, and #1 on the Billboard Rap Singles chart.  In 2008, "The Humpty Dance" was ranked  #30 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop and #65 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the 90s in 2007. The song was selected in the musical reference book, 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die: And 10,001 You Must Download and nominated for Best Rap Video at the 1990 MTV Video Music Awards. "The Humpty Dance" is one of the most sampled songs recorded by a hip hop/rap artist.  Shock G and Money B performed as "Digital Underground" at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2010.

BAD BLOOD: Geneva Thomas strikes Melyssa Ford with huge lawsuit

buzzz worthy. . .

By Mona Austin
Bad blood between Bravo's "Blood, Sweat and Heels" cast mates Geneva Thomas and Melyssa Ford has spilled over into the yet-to-air season two of the reality show in the worst way. The ladies exchanged words in season one making it clear that they did not care for each other, but this latest physical fight got over heated.  TMZ reported brand marketing executive Thomas split realtor Fords head with a wine bottle, requiring the resulting gash to be closed with 3 staples.
The ladies  brawled while the show was shooting scenes for season 2 on a boat in NYC.  On the same night of the incident Thomas was charged with assault in a Manhattan jail.  Newer information indicates that  Thomas was also injured and would  have pressed charges, but didn't because Ford "beat her to the punch." The latest addition to the cast, Arzo Anwar was allegedly also a part of the fght, suggesting it was a two on one encounter.
Thomas is fighting back with a whopping $25 million lawsuit.  The details of the lawsuit
         were released i a statement:
The nature of this action is for Prima Facie Tort, Battery, Defamation, Malicious Prosecution, Abuse of Process and Intentional Interference with a Business Relationship. Geneva is seeking compensatory money damages in the amount of $5,000,000 and $20,000,000 in Punitive Damages, the cost and disbursements of this action, and any other relief the court seems just and proper.
The summons with notice is for Melyssa Forde and Arzo Anwar, the two women who initiated a physical fight with Geneva on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
Arzo Anwar is a friend of Melyssa Forde and the newest cast member on the show.
Despite reports, Geneva also sustained medical treatment at the Lenox Hill hospital and received stitches for 4 abrasions to her chest.
The only reason why Geneva was arrested is because Melyssa called police first. Geneva has the right at any time to press charges against Melyssa Ford for battery assault and possession of a weapon and act to have both Melyssa Forde and Arzo Anwar arrested. The District Attorney of New York City has officially subpoenaed the Bravo video footage.
The Slice will keep you updated on this case as more details become available.

SIDE BAR: Reality TV violence is clearly real. It has advanced from cat fights where producers could intervene to life-threatening violence that requires police to get involved.  Show producers need to have a zero tolerance policy and employ on set security before  someone ends up in prison, the hospital and their final destination, the grave. Networks airing such programs must have more responsibilty.
