Six officers have been charged in the death of Freddie Gray, a Baltimore man who died after sustaining fatal injuries during an arrest.

In a live news conference this morning, State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby said through a thorough investigation conducted by her office, the death of Freddie Gray was ruled a homicide. In her remarks the city's lead prosecutor said Gray should have never been arrested. She cited numerous occurrences of negligence and called for the citizens of Baltimore to remain peaceful:"Your peace is needed as I want to deliver justice to this young man." Mosby said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of the six officers, who face varying charges. Only one officer faces second-degree depraved heart murder, the heaviest charge she listed. Other charges include false imprisonment, manslaughter, second-degree assault, and misconduct in office among others.
