FOOD RECALL ALERT: Aspen Foods of Illinois has recalled 2 million pounds of raw, frozen chicken products over concerns of Salmonella contamination, according to the US Department of Agriculture.  The company has determined a link to 3 illnesses in Minnesota.  Some of the products are breaded, but uncooked, Aspen pointed out in a news release. Brands associated with the recall include Kirkwood, Roundy's, Safeway Kitchens and Spartan. Earlier this week the Department of Agriculture said earlier this week that Barber Foods of Maine is recalling 1.7 million pounds of frozen chicken products also over salmonella concerns.
