(Houston, TX) – Uncle G Records presents gospel recording artist Alexis Spight’s forthcoming album, Dear Diary on August 28. Dear Diary marks the first release on the label, which is distributed by eOne Music in Nashville, TN. The lead single, “All the Glory” is No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Indicator charts for three consecutive weeks, No. 5 on Mediabase and No. 7 on Billboard’s Gospel National Airplay charts. Dear Diary is Spight’s second album release (see iTunes, Amazon and Walmart presale links below). The album is produced by Fred Jerkins, Jamar Jones, Pierre Medor, Bruce Robinson and Levester White.

Earlier this month, Spight’s Dear Diary tour kicked-off at the AIM Conference, followed by the South Sacramento Christian Center, the ESSENCE Festival, Sheilah Belle’s Big Gospel Weekend, and New Direction COGIC Annual Choir Day.

Spight’s upcoming dates include Radio One’s Baltimore Unity in the Community event. The event is the brainchild of Radio One’s founder Cathy Hughes and has been a staple of the community for years. With the death of Freddy Gray and the recent crisis in Baltimore, this event will symbolize another step in healing the community. Radio One and Baltimore City have come together to unite Baltimore. There will be health screenings, children’s pavilion, meet and greets, and other family activities. The Gospel concert will include performances by David and Tamela Mann, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, James Fortune, Richard Smallwood, Canton Jones, VaShawn Mitchell, Jason Nelson, Karen Clark Sheard, Ricky Dillard, Maurette Brown Clark and numerous others. Later that evening, Spight will perform at the Annual Gospel Fest in Buffalo, NY (July 25); the Zion Dominion Global Ministries in Williamsville, NY (July 26); GMWA in New Orleans, LA (July 27-28).  Spight will also headline Bishop T.D. Jakes’ MEGAFest’s MEGA-YOUTH for five days (August 19-23) in Dallas, TX. And on the eve prior to the album release (Thursday, August 27), Spight’s Dear Diary CD release event will be held at St. John’s Northwest Campus (Pastor Rudy Rasmus), located at 8787 North Houston Rosslyn, Houston TX.  Below see additional tour dates for August and September.

The 2012 first-runner up of Season Five of BET’s Sunday released her debut album, L.O.L.: Living Out Loud, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. The album garnered two Stellar Gospel Music Awards nominations including New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year.
