Sleep in heavenly peace, Bobbi Kristina Brown (March 4, 1993 – July 26, 2015)

buzzz worthy. . .
She's gone.  Bobbi Kristina Brown is gone.  If we are to accept the traditions of her late mother, Whitney Houston and grandmother Cissy, her spirit is now absent from the body and present with the Lord.  Surrounded by her family, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia, Brown passed away on Sunday, July 26.   Her life was but a dash from the time the world heard her sweet little voice on her mothers recordings to the day she lost consciousness in a bath tub under eerily similar circumstances to her mother's passing, to the moment the family surrounded her bedside at an Atlanta hospice to say good-bye.  She was 22.

On Jan. 31, Bobbi Kristina had been found unresponsive in her bathtub. For months doctors tried various froms of treatment to revive her including placing a trach in her throat and placing her on a ventilator. and was then taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, where she was put on a ventilator to assist her breathing. She was transferred to an Atlanta hospice center.

She never revcovered.

All along family members were accused on infighting. Her boyfriend, Nick Jordan was accused of abusing her and possibly causing the near-drowning incident.

Her cousin, Dionne Warwick was the first family member to speak on the passing on "Watch What Happens" with Bravo's Andy Cohen. She said Bobbi Kris was a sweet girl. Warwick is upset that Pat Houston is planning a sweet 16 themed funeral according to Access. Funeral services will be held in Atlanta on August 1.

Daughters to Critically Acclaimed Artist Beckah Shae, Grace & Joy Put Bible Verses in the Form of Song To Help Kids Memorize Scripture

Nashville, Tenn. (July 31, 2015) -- Shae Shoc Records has just unveiled its first children’s album by Scripture Snack Kids titled Fun Size, Vol. 1 available on digital platforms and select retailers around the nation today. Aimed to help kids memorize Bible scripture, the 20-track album features the vocal talents of Grace (6) & Joy (8), daughters to Dove Award Nominee Beckah Shae and famed producer Jack Shocklee. Stemming from Shae Shoc Records’ previous Scripture Snack albums, which featured Beckah, the proud parents wanted to ignite their daughters’ gifts, while helping other kids their age grow in their relationship with God.

Scripture Snacks fills the gap by memorizing scriptures in the form of a song. Fun Size, Vol. 1 by Scripture Snacks Kids is an a cappella album, consisting of kids vocals along with critically acclaimed singer Beckah Shae and producer Jack Shocklee’s (tobyMac, Group 1 Crew, Montell Jordan) spin on pop driven melodies and low bass vocal percussion. With 10 tracks breaking down various scriptures from “The Ten Commandments” to “Fruits of the Spirit”, the project also includes instrumental karaoke tracks to each song to put listeners memorization skills to the test. “Our great privilege as parents is to encourage them to walk in truth and to leave a legacy of faith,” shares Beckah. “We wanted to teach our children that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and we know that it is necessary in the growing of their faith to hear the Word of God, to not just hide it in their hearts but to share it with the world!”

For additional information on Scripture Snacks Kids, please visit scripturesnack.com. The CD can be purchased on iTunes for $15.99.

Abel Raise the Cain releases 'Black Swan'

buzzz worthy. . . An alternative indie rock band formed in the Northeast, Abel Raise the Cain were brought together by a mutual love of atmospheric and epic indie soundscapes influenced by the likes of Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros and Editors. The release of double A side single ‘Too Late/The Promise' brought the band widespread critical acclaim leading to both singles receiving repeated airplay on radio stations across the UK, including regular plays on BBC Introducing. 'Too Late' was also playlisted on Brazilian National Radio & featured by Channel 4 on a primetime television program. Regulars on the live circuit, Abel Raise the Cain have played shows across the UK, where they've earned a reputation for enthralling and energetic live performances, which have led to coveted support slots for Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Spiritulized, Kodaline and Skaters. The music video for new single ‘Black Swans', taken from the forthcoming debut EP ‘For Strangers Only’, went straight to number one in the Beat 100 music chart which features bands from all over the world. The song also led to Abel Raise the Cain to win the Beat 100 Ultimate Musician award, recognizing them as one of the most outstanding bands on the network. ‘Black Swans’ is a sign of things to come; an epic, sweeping message, the symphony of a Broken Heart. "When the bubble or romantic suspense pops, a chorus, a wall of sound, a full culmination of six instruments really grabs the ears; A chanted motif, "I'm just too late", has rung around in my head since coming across Abel Raise The Cain. This is a 'big room' song." Narc Magazine "Abel Raise The Cain closed out 2012 with the release of their fantastic Double A-Side single, entitled ‘Too Late /The Promise’. The two tracks are great, with ‘Too Late’ having the previously mentioned orchestral sound that builds up to a satisfying crescendo with Crichton delivering a repeated poignant line “ I’m just too late” that really sticks in the head. ‘The Promise’ is equally majestic, but with a more varied structure of an acoustic opening, before building up to a huge cymbal-crashing middle-section and neatly wrapping up with a beautiful guitar line to draw the song to a close." Hooting and Howling Magazine “'The Promise', their latest single, is a positive example of what is yet to come. A strong arrangement of components from a solid foundation to husky vocals. A distinct range of elements creates the perfect atmospheric soundscape. With riffs that blend well when harmonized with repetitive vocals, effective musical layers are produced adding to the depth of this song. Despite being a new act we’re sure these guys will take 2013 by storm. Such a promising act with evident talent, you would be a fool not to keep an eye out for Abel Raise The Cain this year." Venture Mag Northeast "'The Promise' is an ambitiously produced ethereal indie rock tune filled with tastefully layered guitar riffs and haunting harmonies. Sean Crichton's husky vocals are filled with intense depth and emotion that instantly sweep you off of your feet." Cargo Collective "An ambitious, bold sound for fans of Arcade Fire and Coldplay!" Mixtape "Abel Raise The Cain pack quite a punch – a visceral live band, their post-rock is expansive and epic." KYEO TV "Even closer to home are Abel Raise The Cain and they seize their moment in the sun. A powerful atmospheric performance reveals clear and present signs of life on the Teesside music scene." EARNEST PUGH hits iTunes with new single, "Trade It All"

buzzz worthy. . .

Five-Octave Singer Is Scheduled To Perform Song On BET’S “Bobby Jones Gospel” Program on The 35-Year Old Show’s Final Season

Gospel music’s smoothest balladeer Earnest Pugh has a new classic entitled “Trade It All” available for immediate download from all digital retailers such as the iTunes Store and Amazon MP3. The uplifting song of hope and inspiration hails from Pugh’s forthcoming EP “Fully Persuaded” (EPM/P-Man). The compelling tune was written and produced by Lucius B. Hoskins who masterminded Zacardi Cortez’ radio smash “1 on 1” that spent five weeks at #1 on Billboard Magazine’s Gospel Airplay chart in 2013.
There’s been much buzz about the track.  CEO of the ND Company, Neily Dickerson says, “Pugh did some good sanging on this record.” Veteran radio promoter Tracey Artis adds that,  “This song has legs…a hit.”  Singer Byron Cage gives the track high praise while radio executive Elroy Smith says it is “Well delivered (vocally), well written and well mastered solidly.” However, Melanie Clark-Pratt, midday host at Radio One Charlotte, is more direct: “ Earnest, you nailed it!”

The five-octave vocalist is now on his way to Washington, D.C. to perform the song on BET’s “Bobby Jones Gospel” program this Friday for the show’s 35th and final season. “This song reminds me of the feeling I had when I first heard `Rain On Us’,” says Pugh who is best known for the #1 hits “Rain On Us” and “I Need Your Glory” which spent nine weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart. “I wrote the song for Earnest at least four years ago but he never got around to recording it because his label took him into another direction,” Hoskins adds. “I recently ran into him and reminded him about the song and the timing was right so we cut it.” The song is available for download at all major digital music stores, including iTunes at this link:  http://syntax.cr/1JeGjwf. Fans can keep up with Pugh by visiting his website  www.earnestpugh.com for more news.

FINAL WORDS:  "I didn't even Do nothing," Sam Dubose

A Cincinnati grand jury has determined the actions of a campus police officer during a routine traffic stop that left a man dead were not justified.

On July 19, University of Cincinnati Police Officer Ray Tensing pulled over Samuel Dubose, 43  for a missing license tag. Video from a body cam worn by Officer Tensing shows a less than 2-minute verbal exchange quickly came to a tragic end with a single fatal shot to Dubose's  head.   Mr. Dubose died instantly in the front seat of his car. Today, a day after Dubose was laid to rest,  Prosecutor Joe Deters announced in a press conference at city hall the Hamilton county grand jury indicted Tensing on murder charges.

This incident comes as a wave of police brutality sweeps the nation.

Officer Tensing is White.  The man he killed was Black and unarmed.

A summary of the deadly encounter follows:

Samuel Dubose was pulled over for a driving infraction.  Officer Ray Tensing asked, "Do you have your license?"  The suspect did not immediately admit he did not have his license when asked several times and was hesitant to get out of the vehicle when asked.  He cooperated in giving  the officer a bottle of gin that was spotted on the drivers side.  Suspecting the license was suspended Officer Tensing  told Dubose to fess up.  Dubose said he had a license, but did not seem to have it on him at the time and suggested the officer run his name. Dubose did not get out of the vehicle.  He said he  was en route to his home and asked, "What did you pull me over for?"  Replied Officer Tensing, "Again the front tag."  Dubose retorted, "But it is not illegal not to have a front tag in Cincinnati." Officer Tensing disagreed and proceeded to open the car door.  Dubose's next words were his last. "I didn't even Do nothing," he said.  In an instant he was dead in the front seat of his car. Tensing claimed he opned fired because the car was dragging him.

Lincoln Chafee is running for president on the Dem ticket too

buzzz worthy. . .

Hillary Clinton is not the only contender in the Democratic field for president.  But, that's stating the obvious.  What is less obvious to the average American voter is that the former Secretary of State is not a shoo-in for the Democratic presidential nomination. Recently, The Washington Post had Clinton polling at less than 50%.  Questions about her integrity stemming from Bengazi and having her own personal email account when serving as Secretary of Sate are getting in her way.  It's time to get to know other candidates vying for the Democratic nomination. Here's a name to remember: Lincoln Chafee. The Rhode Island governor is one of five candidates running for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Lincoln Chafee (D-RI),  has political roots, is strong on foreign affairs and says politically he compares to FDR. When asked why he is running for president by MSNBC's Andrea Mithell, he replied, "I have three children and I care about the future of all children and  future genertions. . . I car about the repair work after the collasal mistake we made in invading Iraq."

First single “Fully Known” Available Now
New CD comes out on August 15
Nashville, TN – Indie music and radio favorite JJ Heller’s professional and personal life always seems to be chronicled in her songs. With the release of her eighth studio album Sound of a Living Heart, JJ stays true to her signature style, welcoming her listeners to join her in the pursuit of a whole-hearted life. Produced by Jonny Macintosh (Third Day, Switchfoot), Sound of a Living Heart will hit stores and online outlets August 21, 2015.
The songs on Sound of a Living Heart seamlessly merge JJ’s charming, accessible voice with a new sound for the seasoned songstress. The album features pop-infused tracks, familiar folk melodies (you might recognize “This Year” and “Meant to Be” which already garnered immediate and widespread attention with millions of listeners through JJ’s social media presence), as well as soaring power ballads, a gospel-inspired tune, and a heartrending story-song that features the vocals of Sanctus Real frontman, Matt Hammitt. The 11 brand-new songs describe the pursuit of a whole-hearted life like a well-textured story, inviting the listener into a deeper journey that continues long after the final song ends.
“I’m a recovering perfectionist,” Heller says with a laugh, “but I’m learning to press into the discomfort and messiness of life. I know I’m going to make mistakes and experience pain, but God is always there to put the pieces back together.”
JJ first hit the spotlight when her music was discovered by the hit show So You Think You Can Dance? in the fall of 2009. Within weeks, her music blossomed beyond her fan base, and found a life of its own on radio airwaves spanning the country.  Since that time, JJ has achieved incredible achievements for an independent artist, with numerous TV placements and a successful touring career.  Her song “Your Hands” reached the #18 spot on the Billboard Christian Charts and #9 at Indicator and was named Best Christian Song on Amazon’s “Best of 2010” list. With Sound of a Living Heart, JJ hopes that listeners will realize the incredible story they are living out. Joe Jackson suffers a blinding stroke

buzzz worthy. . .

Mona Austin

Jackson family patriarch, Joe Jackson is hospitalized in Brazil after suffering a stroke on his 87th birthday.  On Sunday in São Paulo,  Jackson reportedly woke up dizzy and unable to see.   According to TMZ, who broke the story, doctors at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Brazil are running tests to determine the extent of the damage and whether to fly the elder Jackson back to the U.S. for treatment.  Mr. Jackson is diabetic, but at reporting time it is unknown if the  disease was a factor in the illness or whether Jackson has regained his sight.

Mr. Jackson was in the country to celebrate his birthday in a massive Brazilian-themed bash, placing an open invitation online:  “Join me on the 26th of July to celebrate 87 full years on earth. The greatest adventure you can take on this world, is to live your life and enjoy the ride.”

The father of the late Michael Jackson arrived in the country on July 22 ahead of the official party and had been living it up and "enjoying the ride" just days before illness struck.
