New artist Orlando Vick releases 'Nothing Without You'

buzzz worthy. . .

Jersey City, N.J. -
There's an exiting new contemporary gospel singer on the scene named Orlando Vick who is ready to impact the globe with his dynamic gifts as an exhorter and minister in song. The 25-year old Jersey boy's
bouncy new radio single "Nothing Like You" (Fearless Entertainment) is now downloadable on all major digital music platforms such as iTunes and Google Play. The adrenaline-rush song of praise was produced by two-time Grammy® Award winner Kevin Bond who has collaborated with gospel personalities ranging from Kirk Franklin to Yolanda Adams, as well as, working on "The Prince of Egypt" motion picture soundtrack.

"Sitting under his tutelage has impacted my creative mind musically, spiritually, creatively, and productively," Vick says of Bond. "I also gained a level of professionalism that makes me mindful in how to work. He's hardcore, no non-sense and that has rubbed off on me so. My maturity level has been built upon his teachings and experience." Vick wrote the song (featuring an edgy rap by his best friend Dray) with a specific message to the millennial generation. "To trust God's plan and not your pain," he confesses. "Also, to seek more of God's approval and not man's validations because man will fail you every time, but God will elevate you through good and bad times."

The Newark, New Jersey native is the son of Orlando Vick Sr., pastor of Greater Providence Baptist Church, and his mother is a program manager at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the city. The middle child of three boys, Vick started performing publicly in 2007 when he formed the gospel group Vick & Divine Glory. He has performed on bills with gospel greats such as Tye Tribbett, J.J. Hairston, and Kierra Sheard. He's also performed at a Miami extravaganza for designer Kenneth Cole. Now that he has launched his singing career nationally, Vick is prepping to release a digital EP in June with a full album expected to drop by the close of the year. "All of my songs are based on my experiences," Vick says. "I want to see my peers turn negatives into positives because I think we're all kings and queens and should act accordingly."
