Comedian Kym Whitley will host Judge Mablean's 14th Annual Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards & Scholarship Brunch

WHAT: The Mablean Ephriam Foundation presents the 14th Annual Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards & Scholarship Brunch. Celebrating the Unsung Fathers in the community.  The event will include an awards program with an you can eat brunch buffet, with entertainment, featuring performances by, Dorinda Clark-Cole (Grammy Award Winner) and Mike Phillips (Jazz Saxophonist). The H.U.F. Awards 2016 Co-Chair is the Honorable Isadore Hall, III (California Senate District 35). In addition to the awards, the foundation will present (17) scholarships to students from the Greater Los Angeles area, high school graduates, nursing and continuing college students between the ages of 25 to 40 who did not go to college, but have now returned. 

WHO:  Marla Gibbs, ( Madea’s Witness Protections), Wendell James (Raising Whitley), Renée Lawless (The Haves and the Have Nots), Angell Conwell (The Young and Restless), Ion Overman (Madea Goes to Jail), Darius McCrary (TV One’s The Miki Howard Story) Mother Love (Radio & TV Personality) will present the winning father’s with awards for their outstanding commitment to their families and or community. In addition to these awards, Judge Mablean and the MEF Board of Directors will make a special presentation to the Founder’s Awardee; Aundrae Russell, (102.3 KJLH FM) and Board of Director’s AwardeeDanny J. Bakewell, Jr. (Los Angeles Sentinel).
