Sen. Rand Raul attacked at home

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was attacked last Friday at his Bowling Green Kentucky home when mowing the lawn. While the motive is unknown, authorities say Paul has an on-going feud with the attacker, a neighbor, Rene Goucher. Paul told police he was attacked from behind. Paul suffered 5 broken ribs and contusions on his lungs. The senator is expected to recover but his condition is reportedly serious and it is not known when he will return to Washington.. Goucher was charged with 4th degree assault, a misdemeanor.
