Pres. Donald Trump has besowed clemency to a Texas Democrat and his wife who were jailed for bribery. Former Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife Imelda were pardoned viaTruth Social Wednesday morning.
Trump wrote: "Henry, I don't know you, but you can sleep well tonight — Your nightmare is finally over!," claiming they were prey of the Biden Admjnistration due to Mr. Cuellar's outspokeness in favor of border security.
Similar toTodd and Julie Chrisley the Cuellar's daughters advocated for their release. They appealed for thier parents' freedom in a letter to the president like Savannah Chrialey. (The Chrisleys are a previously jailed reality TV couple and were one of the earliest pardons this year.)
Trump said the former Congressman was a victim of Biden's weaponized justice department.
Mr. Cuellar thanked the preaident for his leadership and owed to get back to work for the people of Texas.
