'Flex and Shanice' return to OWN tonight

buzzz worthy. . . Los Angeles - OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network docu-series, "Flex & Shanice," following actor and comedian Flex Alexander ("One on One"), Grammy-nominated singer Shanice ("I Love Your Smile") and their hilarious extended family returns this Saturday, August 1 at 10 pm ET/PT.

After Ruba's house party is abruptly cut short, Flex & Shanice head back from Atlanta to get the house back in order in Saturday's episode. Shanice's mother Crystal is still on the hunt for an apartment, much to husband Mike's dismay. He doesn't believe Crystal is truly interested in leaving the family home, and she is over pretending otherwise. Crystal continues to stand her ground and insists she's found the perfect place, but her broken heart lands her in urgent care. Egos will be tested, as Flex and Shanice must decide if they will invite Crystal back home. Meanwhile, as the house gets increasingly more annoyed with surprise houseguest Brooklyn, Uncle Spirit decides a spiritual intervention is in order and tries to get in tune with a tuned-out Brooklyn. Catch "Flex & Shanice" this Saturday, August 1 at 10 pm ET/PT.

While starring in the docus-series, Shanice continues to do what she dies best--sing. Shanice recently released new music.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
