The six girls in the controversial "N-word" collage are out of school pending an investigation. Dessert Vista high school in Phoenix was thrust into the national spotlight when a photo of the teens forming a human collage wearing black t-shirts with the racial epithet in gold letters went viral. One of the girls bravely apologized publicly, saying she did not mean any harm, saying "I have love in my heart for everyone."None of the other other participants in the offensive puzzle or their parents have come forth.

A change.org petition has called for the expulsion of the group.

Two of the girls in the photo are on the school's soccer team with aspiration of playing in college. According to ESPN national signing day is this Wednesday.
