24-Hour Prayer Requested for Marvin Sapp's Wife

Dr.Melinda Sapp, the wife of gospel artist Marvins Sapp, thought she was cancer free only to learn she still has stage four colon cancer.  Along with the Lighthouse Ministries family where Sapp pastors, the national church community has been asked to unite in prayer for First Lady Melinda's healing at least one hour a day. On Thursdays a conference line opens at 6 p.m..  for live corporate prayer.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. Little is known about the bride publicly. The gospel legend introduced the now Mrs. Winans as his fiance to the congregants of Perfecting in October of 2021. The couple had been in a relationship for 15 years. Pastor Winans was previously married to fellow gospel singer Vicki Winans (with whom he has two sons) for 16 years before they divorced in 1995. By Mona Austin Much of what the average American knows about Frederick Douglass lies in the pages of "The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave."  His memory has lived on through the annals of history as a heroic abolitionist.
