"Motown" goes center stage

"Motown: The Musical" premiered tonight at New York's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Legendary artists (Diana Ross, Smokie Robinson, Berry Gordy,and Stevie Wonder) who defined the area were on hand to witness the hit parde in homage to them. A New York Times review says the show lacked balance, being much more heavy on the music.
