Charges thrown out of court in Elmo puppeteer sex scandal

Sex Offender charges against Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash have been dropped. New York federal judge Kevin Koeltl tossed the case out of court on Monday due to a statute of limitations on when such charges can be filed. The filing time frame is six years after the cause of action or three years after the plaintiff turns 21 court documents say.
