JUST MARRIED: Kandi and Todd say "I Do"

It was a rocky journey to the altar, but Kandi Buress and Todd Tucker finally said "I do." The "Real Housewife of Atlanta" star wed the TV producer (who she met on set) in an intimate Atlanta wedding on April 4. Burress told Touch magazine exclusively, "I had the wedding of my dreams."

It was a day that seemed like it would never come. Kandi's former finace AJ died from a blow he sustained in a bar fight. Having never been married before, the mother of one, (Riley, 11) opened her heart to love again when Todd proposed.  Kandi's mother, Momma Joyce, made her opposition to the union known during the show, thinking Todd was not good enough for her daughter and because there were rumors he was taking advantage of her daughter. The couple's close relationship caused a breach in Burress' relationship with her mom. Todd started having second thoughts  after  Momma Joyce lost it on him when they met to "clear the air", leaving Kandi feeling torn between the man she calls her "best friend" and her mom.  

Those days may be behind the newlyweds. A preview of an upcoming episode shows Todd speaking to Momma Joyce in what appeared to be a civil conversation.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
