Famed fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has died.  He made a name for himself designing for Jackie Kennedy and later created out fits for other First Ladies including Michelle Obama.  Decades of his designs have  graced red carpets and the occasions in women's lives that call for glamor.  He designed the dress human rights lawyer Amal Clooney wore when wedding actor George Clooney in Italy.  Born in the Dominican Republic, he became an international icon.  De la Renta passed away from complications with cancer.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. By Mona Austin Much of what the average American knows about Frederick Douglass lies in the pages of "The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave."  His memory has lived on through the annals of history as a heroic abolitionist.
