Anti-Domestic Violence advocates to wear purple on October 23, the nationwide domestic violence blackout day

In observance of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, today, October 23 is "Go Purple Day." Everyone is encouraged to wear purple to show support for the victims an families affected by domestic violence.   By joining together and wearing purple the community at large sends the message of zero tolerance toward domestic abuse.

In Prince William County, the ACTS Turning Point (ACTS) will "Go Purple" by taking a group photo of al organizations that offer support for victims of domestic abuse or would like to participate in this domestic violence awareness effort.  The photo will be taken in the parking lot of the organization starting at 12:00 noon.

ACTS is located at 3900 Acts Lane; Dumfries, VA 22026
