Two sports broadcasters charged with soliticiting a prostitute
buzzz worthy. . .
Sports broadcasters Greg Anthony and Warren Sapp have more in common than their jobs. The two sports commentators, one local, one national have made headlines for committing the same crime.
Anthony entered a not guilty plea in court on Monday for soliciting a prostitute. He was previously arrested in his hotel room in a Doubletree Hotel on Rhode Island Ave. in Washington, DC as a part of a police sting. At the time he was in town for CBS Sports to cover a University of Maryland game when he was arrested in a police sting set up to catch people seeking sex over the Internet. The commentator was busted by an undercover cop posing as a call girl.
National Football League Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp was arrested at a Phoenix hotel on Monday on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute and assault. Sapp got into a dispute with two escorts over money, authorities said. He admitted to engaging in an act of prostitution with one of the women but denied assaulting them. The police report indicated the two escorts' injuries were consistent with their claims. Sapp was in town to cover the Super Bowl.
Both men have been terminated from their respective jobs.
