FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IN PWC: Yung elementray opens in Bristow

Late Prince William County police officer Chris Yung died in a motorcycle accident on New Year's eve in 2012. Today, 700 students in Bristow,VA will attend the elementary school named in his honor for the first time. Yung elementary was built to rectify over-crowding. A high school is being built directly beside Yung, which serves the Bristow/Nokesville area. With 87,000 students, Prince William County Schools is the second largest school system in the state of Virginia.Usually PWC students would have had one more week of summer, but the school board got permission to start a week earlier to make up for snow days last year.
