'Jeopardy' uses Chubb Rocks lyrics in question as star celebrates 25 years in radio

buzzz worthy. . .

The classic television game-show "Jeopardy" quizzed its contestants using one of Chubb's most famous lyrics: IN THIS YEAR, CHUBBROCK UMPED UPON THE SCENE, WITH A LEAN AND A POCKET FULL OF GREEN.

Of course the contestants weren't stumped because everyone knows the famous lyric from Chubb's platinum selling anthem, "Treat Em Right".
The timing of Chubb Rock's lyrics being used on a mainstream game show is appropriate since he's celebrating more than 25 affiliates airing his 2 hour weekend show, "Diggin' In Tha' Crates", which has become increasingly popular.   The emergence of "classic hip hop" formatted stations nationally has also increased Chubb Rock's stock exponentially as he's the only performing nationally syndicated hip hop artist on the radio.  Distributed through Superadio Network, each affiliated market including:
Atlanta, Philadelphia, St.Louis, Memphis, Reno, Raleigh, Charleston, and
Cleveland is experiencing a competitive advantage during Diggin's time slot.
"Crates has all the elements of a great show.Old School Hip-Hop, Old School R&B, Rap, and Chubb Rock; --it cuts through on air and makes you take notice", says veteran PD Nate Bell, WDMK, Detroit. " Word up!" exclaims 'Baby J' Jones, Hot 95.5 Augusta, PD. "As a throwback hip hop and r&b station exclusively, 'Diggin in the Crates' with Chubb Rock gives that extra bit of knowledge along with the music."

Chubb Rock can also be heard afternoons with SiMan Baby on Majic107.5, Atlanta and solo middays on WRNB 100.3, Philly, both for Radio One.

Chubb Rock also famously said, "I'm the man that was born to have a mic on."  No truer words have ever been spoken ... and there's no Jeopardy if you treat 'em right!
