The Obama family worshiped at the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA on Easter Sunday morning. The church dates back to  1803 when Thomas Jefferson was President.

Rev. Howard John-Wesley led the service of nearly 500 attendees, delivering  sermon about leaning on Jesus in difficult times.

The Obama's stayed in the service just over an hour making time to shake hands with soe of the parishioners.

Following a travel heavy schedule during the week of Easter, the White House held its traditional Easter Egg Roll for 35,000 attendees on the Monday after Easter, following up with a President-hosted prayer breakfast today. Vice President Joe Biden will also attend the prayer breakfast.
