Nashville, TN (March 31, 2016) - Country songstress and Nashville recording artist, Briana Tyson, survived a multi-car accident while en route to a radio tour stop on Thursday.

Tyson and her publicist, Hart Street Entertainment’s Julie Reliford, were on their way to Cookeville, TN radio stations, WGSQ The Country Giant, and WKXD Kick's Country to visit and perform as part of her radio tour for her current single, "Throwback."

Interstate-40 Eastbound heading out of Nashville has a spot in the highway that frequently causes cars to hydroplane, and the pair fell victim to the wet roadway. After a 180-degree spin-out the car hit a truck which had stopped to assist another hydroplaned car, and then the guardrail before finally coming to a stop completely totalled. Remarkably the pair escaped with relatively minor injuries; bumps and bruises for Reliford and a broken collar bone for Tyson. The driver of the truck escaped with a bloody forehead.

"I am so beyond grateful that everyone involved was okay. It was quite possibly one of the scariest moments of my life, but I know God had his hand of protection on us today. For me to walk away with only a broken collarbone is such a blessing. I so appreciate the support and prayers that I have already received from amazing fans and friends in the industry. I’m bummed we didn't get to visit everyone in Cookeville, but as soon as I am healed up I promise you we will be back!"

It was necessary for Tyson to cancel several upcoming performances as well as studio time in the next few weeks. At this time, she looks forward to rescheduling as soon as she has recovered enough to resume her usual busy schedule. Reliford will join the Hart Street Entertainment team back in the office immediately.

Tyson's faith in God has gotten her through many struggles, but she says she feels especially blessed through this entire ordeal.
