Massive lay offs are underway at Intel Corporation. The computer chip manufacturer will be down sizing its staff globally by 11 percent or 12,000 employees over the next 60 days.
The loss of jobs comes in the face of low PC sales and a a re-org that is designed to save the company.
The cuts will save the company $1.4 billion in annually savings by the time the cuts are completed next year.
