Something incredible happened for Christian winner of 'The Voice' knocks Adele out of the number one spot

buzzz worthy. . .
Jordan Smith, Season 9 winner of The Voice
By Mona Austin

On Dec. 15, 2015 something incredible happened for Christian music that may have been overlooked by the hustle and bustle of the holidays or the stress of current U.S. and world events. Jordan Smith, a 22-year-old worship leader from Kentucky clinched the victory on season 9 of NBC's singing competition "The Voice" with a rendition the Christian Christmas classic, "Mary Did You Know?" The song about the miraculous birth of the Christ child trumped Pop music goddess Adele, knocking her out of the #1 spot on Billboard.

From the start it was obvious Smith had what it takes to secure the title as his rendition of
Siya's "Chandalier" caused all four judges to turn round in the blind audition. at the time
he said before choosing coach Adam Levine who was the last to turn around,
"I don't know if I should be happy or scared."
By the end of the next day Smith had clinched the number one spot on on the Billboard chart.
Jordan stood his ground and sang sacred songs despite his coach (Adam Levine) allegedly
advising him not to and his peers shunning his choices. A Christian song during during Christmas
time was not only appropriate, but porved t be an effective one. In celebration of the success, JORDAN released a full-length album, "Jordan Smith: The Complete Season 9 Collection [Republic Records], out today on iTunes and exclusively on CD December 24,2015 at Wal-Mart locations. Overnight the album has skyrocketed to the Top 5 on iTunes Overall Album Chart.
