LA Fashion Week Showcases Local and Global Designers While Celebrating the West Coast Lifestyle
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- LA Fashion Week (LAFW) presents its third season of collections at The Hollywood Athletic Club, from September 28 to October 2, 2016. The SS17 event will feature 18 award-winning designers and artists, plus the U.S debut of revolutionary high-fashion brand, Bezgraniz Couture- Fashion Without Borders.

"Los Angeles is quickly establishing itself as one of the premiere creative capitals of the US. We're curating the coolest talent this city has ever seen - from designers and top artists, to street style influencers and music. We want to be at the forefront of this movement," said Arthur Chipman, the Executive Producer of LAFW. "There's so much amazing energy flowing through our city, and we're excited to kick off our event by celebrating the best of LA." 
For the first time, LA Fashion Week has curated a diverse group of Ambassadors; people who are strong voices in the fashion and creative communities of Los Angeles. By telling our own story through the voices of these innovative and influential people who understand our mission, LAFW seeks to elevate the national and global perception of Fashion Week in Los Angeles. LA Fashion Week is not just a fashion show. We aim to expand our presence and those of our partners', creating a stronger, more successful market for LA.
LAFW's Spring/Summer 2017's design talent will be exploring new ways to experience each brand's vision. LA-based label Samsara will present a livestreamed fashion performance featuring a multi-media fusion of music, fashion, and theater, kicking off a world tour that will redefine how fashion can be presented. International brands including JAJAKA by Ivan Gunawan, Marcelo Quadros, and Cindy Wei Zhang will land in LA to showcase their newest collections, aiming to cater to each of our cities' varied lifestyles. Embarking upon its second year this September, LAFW has established itself as Los Angeles' most esteemed fashion event with almost 20,000 invitees, maintaining the support of Mayor Eric Garcetti, City of LA, and California State Senator Ben Allen. This season's partners include L'Oréal Professional & Luxegroup, Kinesio, Seed Floral, Media Playground PR/The Park Showroom, and the Indonesian Consulate. LAFW kicks off its third season with an Opening Night Gala on September 28.
