Obama returns home to give his vision for the future, one that Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Obama believes must embrace diversity as a strength. In addition he will address some of the successes of his administration that must be preserved such as the Affordable Care Act. In 2012, Obama recited his victory speech in his second term defeat of Mitt Romney. Obama leaves office as one of the most popular, yet beleaguered leaders of our time.
The trip to Chicago will also be the last formal trip aboard Air Force One for the Obamas. His approval rating is currently higher than President-elect Donald Trump according to a new national Quinnipiac Poll at 55 percent and 37 percent respectively.
