R Kelly's label has dropped him

Accused sexual predator and R&B singer R. Kelly is out at Sony/RCA as of today. Pressure from the community and protests from activists have led to Kelly's label dropping him, which could be the nail in the coffin of a dying career that was plagued by 20 years of sexual allegations that resurfaced when an explosive Lifetime documentary "Surviving R. Kelly" featuring his accusers aired two weeks ago. Through it all the Pied Piper seemed to be unstoppable as he continued to perform and put out music.
On Wednesday, protesters from the #mute R. Kelly movement gathered outside the label's New York headquarters to publicly shame the record company into dumping him.
“RCA and Sony Music should have dumped R. Kelly and taken a stand against his abuse of women a long time ago – and their continued inaction and silence is beyond shameful," said Shaunna Thomas, co-founder and executive director of UltraViolet. “
Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and Change the Rapper have all pulled their collaborations with Kelly.
