Trump is chummy with Putin at G20 Summit
At the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, Pres. Donald Trump joked with Vladmir Putin about Russian interference in the 2016 election in his first meeting with him since the Mueller Report was completed. Trump has a history of downplaying the FBIs findings about An American Reporter asked what he would discuss with Putin and he said "that's none of your business." A White House press pooler reported Trump said this about his agenda:
"It's a great honor to be with President Putin... We have many things to discuss, including trade and including some disarmament, some — a little protectionism perhaps, in a very positive way.... We have a very very good relationship and we look forward to spending some very good time together. A lot of very positive things are going to come out of the relationship."
Here is bit of Putin's short remarks, via translator: "I cannot but agree with Mr. President... All the topics have been outlined. We haven't seen each other since Helsinki."
Putin added that "our teams have been together working," adding that something — presumably the meeting — was "a great opportunity."
