A Baltimore church kicks HUD Sec. Ben Carson off property

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson returned to the Baltimore area Wednesday to hold a press conference about the federal government's programs  to revive opportunity zones and was asked to leave -- by a church.  The press conference was set up in a vacant plot next to the Morning Star Baptist  Church and an elder told him to leave.Gregory Evans, a church member for 50 years said  it had nothing to do with Carson being in the Trump administration, but no one got permission in advance.  Carson shared terse words about the church on camera, "They said get off of our property. A church.  You know, a church -- when we are talking about helping the people. This is the level to which we have sunken as a society." The church is located in East Baltimore, an are designated as one of 149 opportunity zones throughout the state.   rep Dir. Carson, a former neurosurgeon, had worked at John Hopkins hospital in Baltimore said he use to worry about the living conditions hs patients would return to and may be God put him in the position to help.  He had run for 2016 before dropping out of the campaign to become a Trump surrogate. On Monday he'd spoken to inner city pastors at the White House about urban renewal showed up following Pres. Trump verbally attacking Congressman Elijah Cummings for his failed leadership in the 7th District which encompasses Baltimore. Cummings declined an invitation to attend the press event WJZ a local station reported. In a tweet Cummings invited Pres. Trump to sit down and work together on the issues plaguing the City of Baltimore.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans.
