A PRAYER TO COMBAT CORONAVIRUS

During times of certainty and uncertainty, through dangers seen and unseen, God assures us in scripture that he is always with us.   The Coronavirus outbreak has caused great concern as people are perishing by the thousands. The illness has also prevented people from gathering when direct  human contact is expected. It is rare that  a common enemy attacks the whole world with uncontrollable force. The Coronavirus has gripped nations.  The president of the United States, Donald Trump side the nation is at war with an invisible enemy.
Christians rely on prayer when getting Read this prayer s often as you wish and allow God to envelope you in his care and calm your fears:
LORD of heaven and earth, Father God we pray by the power of the Holy Spirit, that you place the blood of Jesus on the door post of our homes and our families and friends so that the attack of the Coronavirus passes over us.
Cancel Coronavirus and provide a cure. Have mercy on us as this pestilence plagues the world. Allow our leaders in government, commerce, education and religious institutions to exercise wisdom in their guidance.
Help us to stand against the wiles of the devil and spiritual wickedness in high places. Lay your hands on those afflicted by this disease and those who are the most susceptible to catching it.
We are reminded that you are always in control. Help your people find refuge in you. Forgive those nations and individuals who have responded to this crisis as if they have lost faith and trust in you. AMEN.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: Read Psalm 91 as further assurance that God has everything in control.
