The 2020 Essence Fest has been postponed

#ESSENCEFEST 2020 WILL BE POSTPONED!

The Essence Fest is an event experience that's like the pages of the magazine coming alive.  It is a must-attend affair that is stamped on people's calender's year-after-year. Sadly, the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic, like the 2020 Olympics, has forced it to be planned forward.  Yes, one of the largest out door summer music festivals in the United States,  has been post-poned.  Essence Fest is the annual pilgrimage Black women take to get their mind, body and soul fix. Offering a world class music line-up, serving up Black culture and providing the top speakers and thought leaders   A new date is TBD but the message is clear-  organizers do not intend to  leave festival attendees hanging.  Here is the notice from the top:

Two weeks ago, we announced plans for the 2020 ESSENCE Festival of Culture and indicated that we would continue to evaluate the novel coronavirus crisis using all available resources and intelligence towards ensuring our first priority – the safety and well-being of our Festival-goers and everyone who contributes to making the Festival such a unique experience.

Based on recent developments, including updates from our city and health partners, the 2020 ESSENCE Festival of Culture will be postponed until closer to the fall.

Alternate dates are coming soon. We are excited to announce that our Festival lineup remains and we will honor all tickets sold for previously scheduled performances.
