On April 22, 2020, Founder and Creator of the AAMBC Literary Awards, Tamika Newhouse will host the annual celebration digitally alongside Chanel Hudson, a prominent media personality. The virtual event is slated to take place on April 22, 2020, at 7 pm and will stream from the AAMBC Awards “YouTube” channel. Since it’s inception in 2009, the AAMBC Awards is one of the few award shows that celebrates and honors African American literary writers, screenwriters and those in the publishing industry.
In light of COVID-19, AAMBC Inc. organization has decided to conduct the annual award show virtually so that each of the authors will continue to be highlighted and celebrated amongst its peers. The show is expected to be upbeat, celebratory and funny, ultimately creating a fun virtual experience for writers and book lovers. “During a time when so many people feel hopeless and confused, a lot of our fans dive into our books as a release. Our books provide a sense of normalcy for so many.” Stated Tamika Newhouse (AAMBC Founder and Creator).
The Brainchild of the AAMBC Awards is Best Selling Author and Businesswomen Tamika Newhouse. Tamika Newhouse is the author of 17 novels, has landed on numerous bestsellers’ lists and is the winner of 8 African American Literary Awards.
