Network To Present Live, Gavel-To-Gavel Coverage Of Floyd Trials 
 
ATLANTA (Jan. 14, 2021) - Court TV, the multi-platform network devoted to live and in-depth legal reporting and expert analysis of the nation's most important and compelling trials, will world premiere "I Can't Breathe" - A Court TV Special on Sunday, January 17th at 9:00 p.m. (ET). 

The hour-long special will set the stage for the trials of the four Minneapolis police officers charged in the case, taking viewers through Floyd's life, with origins in Houston, Texas, and his tragic death which launched a national movement on race in America. Court TV will present extensive, live, and gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Floyd trials, the first of which is set to begin in March. 

"I Can't Breathe" - A Court TV Special will feature exclusive interviews with Floyd's friends Herbert Mouton, Travis Cains and Vaughn Dickerson, Jim Lane, the brother of Officer Thomas Lane, one of the officers charged in the case, Houston Forward Times associate editor Jeff Boney, Houston Community activist Carl Davis, Minneapolis Community Activist Michelle Gross and more.

Court TV Anchor Michael Ayala hosts the special, along with reporting from Court TV legal correspondent Julia Jenae and contributions by members of the network's acclaimed team of anchors and reporters.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
