What is happening on Trump's final day in the White House and what is to come?

The official White House schedule indicates Pres. Donald Trump will have "many phone calls and meetings" as has been the case since his second impeachment.

But, for weeks there has been speculation that Pres. Trump would try to block himself, his family and key staffers -- all who have been luinked to vrious forms of political corruption --from future prosecution with a pardon.

Sources say White House counsel Pat Cipollone and former Attorney General William Barr have cautioned him against issuing a self-pardon. Should he attempt to pardon himself, it would diminish the sacred principle that "no man is above the law" and not be taken sreiously.

Pres. Trump is poised to issue a bevy of pardons on his last day in the White House. Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is not expected to be on the list, nor is the president himself. In December just before Christmas the White House released a long list of familiar names on the list like Paul Manafort. TSeveral people on the list were known Trump supporters his time the list may not be as familiar, but they may be people who have appealed to be pardoned for a long time. The president solely makes the pardoning decision.

Tomorrow, Pres. Trump will have a send off at Joint Base Andrews before the leaves for Mar-A-Lago, his permanent residence.
