UK Coronavirus variant spreads across country, infects children

CDC: The UK B117 variant is now the most dominant Coronavirus strand in the US and could contribute to another surge in cases. Data is reflecting a spread of this strain in younger people. Pfizer and Moderna have both said their COVID-19 vaccines will work against the U.K. variant. "Based on our most recent estimates from CDC surveillance, the B.1.1.7 variant is now the most common lineage circulating in the United States," said Dr. Rochelle Walensky.
