Delta CEO calls for penalties for unruly passengers
The CEO of Delta Airlines is calling for the Justice Department to apply strong penalties on airline passenger that engage in inflight fights. Secretary of State Pete Buttigieg is open to it hoping it will lessen the danger for flight attendants and get passengers to respect their roles. "You need to listen to what they say. They a re there for your safety" he said. Without defining the extent of punishment, he stated we need to "take a look" at how to better handle disruptive behavior on flights, adding during an appearance on CNN on Monday, "It is unacceptable for flight crews and quite frankly passengers to have to deal with this."
