SCOOP: An insider tells The Slice "Love and Marraige DC" has been renewed for seasons 2 AND 3. The cast is currentluy filming for season 2 which will air in Jan. of 2023. New revelations about the longest married couple James and Erana Tyler are in store. Our source says Erana is anything but a push over after fans were concerned about her hubby being abusive and domineering in their opening season.

The 3 couples cast on the Carlos King produced series are:
  • Monique Samuel & Chris Samuel
  • Ashley Silva & DJ Quicksilva
  • Erana & Jamie Tyler

We are not sure if the tag-along-friend Winter Harris will be returning to the ensemble since she dissolved her relatiosnhip but that has not stopped single women from other franchises from particpating. Winter teased the song "Sign My Papers", in an episode about her ex-husband holding up their divorce. She said the song was recorded at the legendary Night Flight Studios. Winter, a mother of 4 children attempted to remain attached to the show by outing Silva and Jamie as cheaters on the reunion. Monique did not appreciate Winter causing drama, for which she called her out in tweets.

At the end of last season the relationshp status of the Samuels' was questionable. Recently various news outlets, including People magazine reported the couple divorced. Monique Samuels responded to the internet rumor saying in a video statement that she and her husband are staying in separate homes to have space to work on themselves individually she said. After 10 years of marraige they are both in counseling but have not separated and rumors they filed for divorce are false she said. However, their relationship is far from perfect as the wealthy parents of 4 projected when they were on "The Real Housewives of Portomac."

High viewership in the 18+ African American women demographic has also garnered renewals for the sister show, "Love and Marraige Huntville,"

In other OWN Network news. . .

"Love And Marraige Huntsville " is currently airing its third season. Crirtics of this show were critical of seemingly affluent African Amerincas acting beneath their station and tearing Black families apart after the cheating ordeal with Melody and Martell Holt. Old friends nearly came to blows this season as Ms. Wanda confronted Melody about a rumor that her last child. "Sufa Mama" may not be Martell's.  The producers pivoted from the toxic spill of emotions and have been focusing on healing and reconciliation in recent episodes.

The show heads at OWN find this reality is relatable to fans.

“At the center of our programming is our purpose: to make sure our audience is reflected and sees themselves–their stories, families and community in a nuanced and layered way. The success of these shows tells us that we are meeting this goal, and it’s deeply gratifying,” said Tina Perry, President, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. “We look forward to continuing our collaborations with Carlos King and Kingdom Reign Entertainment for both ‘Belle Collective’ and the ‘Love & Marriage’ franchise, and with Will Packer, Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment for ‘Put A Ring On It.’
