Liberals, are Black women doomed without abortion?
Democrats should take a look at their message on abortion; it is stressful to Black women
The amount of political hubris the Democratic party has sprayed on Black women voters (including Black women themselves) after the reversal of Roe V. Wade is puzzling when you pause to think about it. Women's rights are "proverbially"on the ballot for mid-term elections, even though little to nothing can be done to chqnge thus in more than. half of the states in the nation.
Let's examine the rationale... It is now a given that Black women register more voters and cast more votes collectively for Democrats, a party that is currently on life support. Based on this knowledge Democrats in talk news and at the White House have voiced their support and concern for Black women not having access to abortion.
They are saying votes are needed in the more conservative states that are likely to hammer abortion restrictions and are relying on the FEARS of pro-abortion Black women. Democrats, think about what you are saying when you appeal to Black women voters using the abortion ban. You are telling the strongest voting bloc you want their vote because they are the most likely to get abortions and you want to protect their freedom. In exercising the choice to have excessive abortions the potential impact on the stagnation of the growth of the race is disregarded. Hispanics have exceeded the population of Blacks. Vould the discomfory with reporduction on various fronts be a reason why the numbers are dwindling in the Black population?
This is exactly what Margaret Sanger, the notorious eugenecist wanted when she pushed abortion --- population control. When you encourage abortion rather than placing the emphasis on choice you are effectively telling Black women to stunt the growth of their race. Motherhood is not being embraced in a positive light in this messaging. Getting out of poverty and pursuing goals is the message as if this can not be done without abortions being available. This thinking assumes that Black women are too oppressed to make it with a family in less than ideal circumstances. The "mothers of humanity" who endured childbirth through slavery are being told to have children only when it us convenient. These abortion pushers are subtly saying that without the abortion option Black girl Joy is obsolete. Black women will no longer be able to get their erucation, good job or independence from bad relationships --- all due to one SCOTUS decision. Black women are doomed. . . This is what abortion activists want us to think, which is an affront the history of Black women. This messaging is stressful if not depressing.
The potential mental, physical, emotional or spiritual harm that can result from getting abortions is not being addressed. What can be more affirming than the promotion of the birth of healthy, strong Black babies?
