(TSN): The U.S. is seeing the first flicker of cooperation in its negotiations for a humanitarian pause in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Senior Security advisor and NSC Coordinator dir astratefic Communication, Admiral John Kirby informed reporters on Thursday in a conference call that there has been progress regarding evacuation routes and yhe delivery of aid.
He said several areas have been set up in the war zone to allow those who wish to vacate to do so.
"First, there will now be two humanitarian corridors allowing people to flee the areas of hostilities in the northern part of Gaza." Thousand have fled away from dangerous ground operations to safer areas in the South using the first open corridor, which recently began operating daily between four and five hours every day.
Committing to a pause in battle also opens up the opportunity for crucial aid to be delivered. The Gaza Ministry of Health says 1.5 million Palestinians have been displaced. Food, medicine and fuel are a few of the supplies that are desperately needed.
Additionally, fighting will temporarily cease in four hour increments starting today Kirby announced.
"We understand that Israel will begin to implement four-hour pauses in areas of northern Gaza each day, with an announcement to be made three hours beforehand. Now, we’ve been told by the Israelis that there will be no military operations in these areas over the duration of the pause . . ."
The US is still working on hostage releases but the corridors that are set up could be used for transporting them out of the area as well the Admiral said.
Kirby also indicated Israel bears responsibilty for the way they have reponded and has a responsibilitybto adhere to international war laws. "It’s fighting an enemy that is embedded in the civilian population, using hospitals and civilian infrastructure in an effort to shield itself from accountability and to place the innocent Palestinian people at greater risk."
