Kingdom Story Joins Forces with RIP Medical Debt, Aiming to Erase $10,000,000 in Medical Debt Inspired by ORDINARY ANGELS
"Ordinary Angels" is not just a movie; it's a call to action. With a donation of $1 or more, audiences may contribute to the larger cause of erasing $10 million in medical debt for families burdened by catastrophic illness or the high costs of organ transplants by visiting RIP Medical Debt. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
ORDINARY ANGELS centers on the power of community. The film is inspired by the historic snowstorm that struck Louisville, Kentucky in 1994 — and how a community rallied together to save the life of a critically ill young girl. Tamala Jones, who plays Rose, brings depth to the storyline, showcasing the resilient spirit of individuals uniting for a noble cause.
At the beginning of ORDINARY ANGELS, Sharon’s life is in shambles. Her son isn’t talking to her. She has a drinking problem. And her best friend Rose has opinions on the matter.
“Rose is the voice of reckoning,” says Jones, who brings Rose to life onscreen. “She is no-nonsense but still a very warm person. I think that we all know someone like Rose. She doesn't sugarcoat anything. But she wants you to know it comes from a good place. She's not here to judge you or to make you feel bad about who you are. But she wants the best for everyone around her.”
And Rose wants better for Sharon. She can see the downward spiral that her friend has been on. And that’s why when Sharon finds something worth fighting for—little Michelle—Rose jumps on board, too.
