Mississippi's Eddie Ruth Bradford records first single after health scare, 'He Know How Much We Can Bear'

Two-time Stellar Award nominee, Eddie Ruth Bradford, affectionately referred to as, “The Modern-Day Mahalia Jackson” has returned with the release of her a new single, “He Knows How Much We Can Bear” Available Now on All Digital Platforms.

First listen, “He Knows How Much We Can Bear” calms the mind and soothes the soul with the signature smoky contralto voice of Eddie Ruth Bradford. In these unprecedented, turbulent and uncertain times, this song is a reminder to us all that, “God will not put more on you than you can bear.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Bradford states, I recorded “He Knows How Much We Can Bear” after surviving a life-threatening illness in 2023. God’s peace, love, and amazing grace surrounded me through one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I am grateful to God, family, and friends for lifting me when I could not lift myself. It is my prayer that this song is a blessing to all who are going through the storms of life. Know that God will never leave you or forsake you. I am a witness that God truly knows how much we can bear.'

This release sees the independent art who had started her own record label, teaming up again with SRT Entertainment.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife, 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect. Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.
