Improving Black Republican Impact for Trump

(TSN): Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina says if former Pres. Donald Trump gets 20% of the African American vote, it would “decimate” the Democratic party, giving Republicans control over the House and Senate.  On Fox News he sold the idea that workers were more secure under Trump. “President Trump’s contrast to Pres. Biden could not e better for the working class,” said the Senator who some say is hoping to become Trump’s running mate.

A group of conservative Black activists, the Black Conservative Federation and Black Voices for Trump, founded by Diante Johnson are working to flip the traditional political script among African Black men in particular. The organization ins targeting black male voters in 6 battleground states.

Black enthusiasm for Trump is steadily climbing.  He garnered 8% of the black vote in 2016, mainly men and an increase of 12% in 2020.

The group is targeting African American men in 6 battleground states to get them to cast their ballot for Trump.  They say Democrats have failed them in the past.  They have the backing of not only Scott but Republican Congressman Byron Donalds of Florida to get closer to trumpet their message.  But Scott predicts Trump will see a significant impact of 15% with a boost from young Black voters come November. Recent New York Time dolling is more favorable than that for Trump.

It asked likely voters if they voted today who they would choose.  The results showed Trump could win than 20 percent of the Black vote — a record that would be the highest level of Black support for any Republican presidential candidate since  the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

These would-be voters are discontent with Biden’s handling of the Israel-Palestine War and the economy.
