PRES. TRUMP JUST SIGNED  THE ONE  BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL INTO LAW

(TSN):  In what some Republican lawmakers see as a gift to America on its 249th birthday, Pres. Donald Trump signed the One Big, Beautiful Bill into law.  Before  endorsing the legislation that is the blueprint for the Trump Adminjstration's domestic policy, from the balcony of the White House South lawn he lauded a key feature  --  the inclusion of  the largest tax cut in history, made permanent. With these cuts and other tactics the U.S. is going to "turn into a rocketship economically" he saud. His claim is a 360 degree contrast to spaceship maker Elon Musk  who decried that the bill raises the debt limit by $5 trillion.

Democrats have argued for months  that the cuts are a big break for billionaires and burden for everyone else.   Servers and various  attendants will get a break -with a no taxes on tips provision.

Yet, a FOX News poll  found that 60 percent of the participants viewed the bill unfavorably. A chief architect of the bill, House Speaker Mike Johnson gave the gavel that he used to enact the  legislation a day earlier to the president.

Before the vote, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., spoke on the House floor for 8 hours and 44 record-brraking  minutes saying the  fight must continue for those depending on social programs that have been stripped or reduced under the law.
