During the annual Labor Day weekend DC Jazz Fest, Armed DEA agents were on foot patrol at the DC Wharf on Saturday. The area was peaceful as law enforcement walked the area and were seen pausing to answer questions. They have been rotating to cover all seven districts in the city covered by the DC the Metropolitan Police Department. The officers assigned to the wharf said they came in two weeks ago with the initial group that arrived by Pres. Donald Trump's orders. There have been reporta that their presence has been limited to the National.Mall or areas that are not crime ridden.
