Four Republicans joined Democrats to block the censure. They are: Reps. Mike Flood (NE), Tom McClintock (CA), Jeff Hurd (CO), and Cory Mills (FL).McClintock defended his vote on First Amendment grounds, saying Omar’s comments were “vile” but protected speech.
Mace escalated her rhetoric, suggesting Omar should be deported and stripped of citizenship.Omar responded by reaffirming her American identity and condemning political violence again.
