Steve Bannon's Comments on Donald Trump, Religion and a Third Term

(TSN): Steve Bannon says Peesident Donald  Trump will have a third term and it is divinely ordered. Presidential terms are set to two terms in the Constitutiion's 22nd Amendment.   "He is not churchy, nor particularly religious. Ut he us an insttument for divine will...."  Banon is not particularly religious eithe but he has been spreading thus message to the Republican base in various capacities. He spouted this visuin  to Zanny Minton Beddoes, the Editor-in-Chief of The Economist in a recent interview.

Bannon, former White House chief strategist and a key architect of the MAGA movement, has repeatedly advocated for Donald Trump serving a third presidential term in 2028, despite the 22nd Amendment's clear prohibition on more than two elected terms. Je has not amways spoje about Trump's religious persuasion. Mentioning it more is jbtended to connect to the swarm of

Evangelical GOPers who hinge thier votes on religious liberty. Trump has been a ftuend to thus voting bloc by implementing society shifting policies like displaying the Ten Commandments, rejecting boys and girls playing in the same sports and providing breajs for Christian businesses.

Bannon's rhetoric presents this desire  as inevitable, driven by the "will of the American people" and Trump's unique role in "saving America." He has teased vague "plans," "alternatives," and "workarounds" without detailing specifics, often dismissing constitutional barriers outright. These statements have escalated since Trump's 2024 re-election, with Bannon positioning himself as a strategist pushing the idea through podcasts, interviews, and speeches.

Bannon's comments span late 2024 into 2025, building on Trump's own ambiguous hints about "methods" for a third term.
